Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse Launches September 20

Atlus has revealed Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse will release in North America on September 20, 2016. We first heard about the latest Shin Megami Tensei game back in October 2015 when it was titled Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final. Since then, the game received a slight name change for its Western release, replacing “Final” for “Apocalypse” to better reflect the game’s epic nature.

SMT IV: Apocalypse will have Nanashi serving as Dagda’s personal Godslayer in order to change Tokyo for better or worse. Asahi, Hallelujah, Gaston, and Toki will help him out in various capacities, as will some of the original cast members from Shin Megami Tensei IV. Although you’ll have a better understanding of what’s going on in Apocalypse if you’ve already played IV, Atlus promised that doing so isn’t necessary in order to understand the sequel. SMT IV: Apocalypse will bring peace or anarchy to your 3DS system in North America starting September 20.

Check out the Character Trailer:

“Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse is an engrossing, 60-plus hour RPG experience that pits players against the very creators of the human identity in a battle for the remnants of the human race. Demons, gods, magic and guns are the tools of destruction players will wield in the name of servitude to a scheming deity. With its renowned combat mechanics improved to the most diverse state yet, and its legendary difficulty, Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse is a must-have addition to the Nintendo 3DS system’s impressive RPG library.”
