The Best From Stadia Connect July 14

During today’s Stadia Connect, Google has announced 16 new games arriving at the streaming service, “Only on Stadia” games are also announced, Outcasters, Orcs Must Die! 3 are joining the line-up from Splash Damage and Robot Entertainment respectively. Both games are playable by acquiring a Stadi Pro membership at $29.99.

Google also announced that more “Only on Stadia” games are coming soon, developer Harmonix, Uppercut Games, and Supermassive Games will develop unique games for the platform.

One of the most interesting announcements was the “Click to Play” feature integrated into YouTube. Basically it’s a link that will allow Stadia supported devices to launch a game in seconds.

New games coming to Stadia that are not exclusives include Super Bomberman R Online (first on Stadia; autumn 2020); One Hand Clapping (early access; first on Stadia; live now); Dead by Daylight (cross-play all platforms; cross-progression with Nintendo Switch and PC); PUBG Season 8 (30th July); Hitman, Hitman 2 (both 1st Sep 2020) and Hitman 3 (January 2021); Serious Sam 4 (Stadia and PC only at launch; August 2020); Outriders (Christmas 2020); WWE 2K Battlegrounds (18th Sep 2020); PGA Tour 2K21 (21st August 2020); NBA 2k21 (autumn 2020); Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (autumn 2020); and Hello Neighbor (20th Sep 2020 (playable in Stadia Pro at launch) and Hello Neighbor: Hide & Seek (Christmas 2020; playable in Stadia Pro at launch).

Certainly, Google is going strong with its plans with Stadia and capitalize on the billions of players around the world. Google has recently announced a new studio based on Playa Vista, California, this studio will be led by former Sony’s Santa Monica Head Shannon Studstill. The studio currently does not have a name but is part of Stadia Games, Google’s take on Xbox Game Studios, a force of several small studios who will develop exclusive games for Google.
