Rainbow Six Siege F2P

Rainbow Six Siege Director Wants The Game F2P

According to PC Gamer Rainbow Six Siege Director Leroy Athanassoff wants its game to go F2P, but what’s really preventing the game that way is the fact that developers haven’t found a way to detect smurfing. The game MMR scoring system only focuses on the player’s win rate. The Director points at the need for more data into account for a better scoring system.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is a tactical shooter developed by Ubisoft Montreal, the game is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game released in late 2015, going F2P would greatly benefit Ubisoft as it would prevent losing such a healthy community. In Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege players cooperation is essential, each player takes the role of an attacker or a defender. Leroy Athanassoff and its team will continue to be pushing for a F2P model for the successful game.

“What’s important for us is that we find out as soon as possible that a player is highly skilled in the things that matter,” he said. “The problem right now is that you can play a certain amount of matches with Copper players while you’re a Diamond.”

Ubisoft has recently announced that they’re planning to have Rainbow Six Siege ready for the PS5 and Xbox Series X on launch day, cross-play, and cross-platform to follow very soon.
