FIFA 20 Adds Conmebol Libertadores Group Stage

South American FIFA 20 players will be thrilled to learn that EA Sports is bringing the Conmebol Libertadores Group Stage on March 3. The developer also announced that the update will be free to download, it’s a great opportunity for European players who are not familiar with South American Football  to learn more about the clubs that produces some of the biggest talents in the world.

The CONMEBOL Libertadores, is an annual international club organized by CONMEBOL (South American Football Association) it started on 1960, and features 47 teams from 10 associations. It’s kinda the Champions League of South America.

A new Conmebol Libertadores Tournament Mode will let you take some of the most famous and historic clubs in world football like River Plate, Boca Juniors, Flamengo, Racing Club, C.A. Independiente, Millonarios, Fluminense, and Universidad Católica all the way from the Group Stage to the Final.

In Kick Off you’ll be able to enjoy the Conmebol Libertadores, Conmebol Sudamericana, and two-legged Conmebol Recopa, while Career Mode adds all three tournaments allowing you to play with authentic competition structures and match presentation as you lead your club to glory.

Plus, FIFA 20 Ultimate Team will give you the ultimate connection to Conmebol Libertadores with custom content including select special items and themed in-game content as you assemble your dream squad in the game’s most popular mode.

This is perhaps one of the most interesting aspects of the new DLC, the integration of Conmebol Association to FIFA 20 Ultimate Team, South American football has fallen behind the impact of media and high wages of players in Europe, but it still has some of the most respected shirts around the world. A good example of the importance of some of the Conmebol teams is the decision of Daniele De Rossi, a world cup and devoted Roma captain decided that Boca Juniors would be his retirement team.
