Yuji Horii revealed the news in a video released today. Details on which systems in the west will get the game have yet to be announced, but it is coming to the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 in Japan.

Horii began by thanking Koichi Sugiyama, Dragon Quest’s composer, and Akira Toriyama, the character designer. He then went on to say that the localization for the western release of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age has already begun. It will be released in five languages, with English being one of them. The other four weren’t announced in the video, but its subtitle options included English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. More information on the North American and European release will come in Autumn 2017.
