According to an anonymous poster on 4chan whose claims are gaining traction online, FromSoftware is reportedly developing a new pirate-themed game titled Cerulean Onslaught. The leak claims the game is planned for release as early as August 2026 and will be announced during this year’s Summer Game Fest on June 5.

The title is reportedly being described as a new dark action RPG from the developer and is said to launch before The Duskbloods. If true, this could suggest that The Duskbloods, which still is yet to have a release date, will not release this year. The anonymous leaker also claims players will use a ship as a primary hub to sail across oceans and explore various islands.
However, this information should be taken with a grain of salt, as the claims currently lack any credible backing. It is also highly unlikely that FromSoftware would announce a major self-published title only two months before release, especially one launching ahead of the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive The Duskbloods. Considering the studio’s release history, as well as the planned release of Elden Ring: The Tarnished Edition on Switch 2 later this year, the legitimacy of this leak remains highly questionable.
