In a recent post from the official 2K support account, 2K announced that its customer support services have been breached and warns everyone who has a 2K account to immediately change any passwords stored in their browser, enable two-factor authentication where possible, install anti-virus software and check that their forwarding settings on their email accounts haven’t been changed especially if they clicked a link from an associated email. The 2K support associated games include the NBA 2K series, the WWE series, and the Borderlands series.

“Earlier today, we became aware that an unauthorized third party illegally accessed the credentials of one of our vendors to the help desk platform that 2K uses to provide support to our customers.
Please note that 2K personnel will never ask you for your password or other personal information,” it said. “Our support portal will remain offline while we continue to address this matter.
We will issue a notice when you can resume interacting with the official 2K help desk emails, and we will also follow up with additional information as to how you can best protect yourself against any malicious activity.”
