Xbox Briefing E3 2018 Hopes – The Primal Podcast #9

E3 is almost upon us and we will be attending this year’s Microsoft’s E3 Xbox Media Briefing on Sunday, June 10th, 2018 along with the after party showcase at the Microsoft theater in LA on the following day on Monday, June 11th, 2018. We decided to sit down this week with our team at Gaming Instincts and have an interesting discussion on what we believe Microsoft needs to do in order to succeed at this year’s E3 and win the hearts of many gamers, press members (such as us) and fans alike.

Microsoft right now is in a tough spot, they’re afraid to announced games to early due to constant delays and cancelations. They’re also afraid of not talking about anything big as well due to the “lack of games” on Xbox fiasco and are caught between a rock and a hard place.

There are many possible games that the big giant publisher may announce such as the next big entry of Halo and even possibly the next mainline or a spin-off game from the Gears of War franchise. And then of course, you have your 2 other titles that are currently rumored to be in development such as the Fable reboot alongside the Perfect Dark reboot. At the end of the day, Microsoft needs to announce some big heavy hitters or this will end up another lackluster E3 and disappointment for the fans and the company as a whole.

Sony right now is on a huge roll with games like God of War and Detroit: Become Human. At this year’s E3 we will finally be seeing live gameplay of Death Stranding, The Last of Us II, Ghost of Tsushima and Spiderman. What will Microsoft due to counter this, are they still competing and how can they win back their fans over and will they finally confirm the existence of the long-rumored Fable reboot along with Perfect Dark? We will find out later this week on Sunday. Make sure to stay tuned at Gaming Instincts for our latest E3 updates, interviews, hands-on demo impression and much more. See you at E3 2018.
