Titanfall Servers Attacked By Hackers

In the last couple of months, Titanfall 2 has seen a tremendous resurgence on Steam. On April 17th the video game was discounted at 75% off. Several consumers took advantage of this stellar deal and the game purchases soared. While new players delighted in the chance to get the title at such a good price, other individuals aimed to kill the joy for new and old players alike.

Before hitting the Steam store, the video game featured an all-time high player count of 16,958. Recently though as seen on the Titanfall® 2 Steam Charts they have soared to a new record of 27,547. Unfortunately, many players have experienced a plethora of difficulties trying to play the video game.

Over the past few days, Titanfall and Titanfall 2 have been the target of hackers. While the video game industry is no stranger to these kinds of attacks, this one seems more of a targeted attack than anything. Many have pointed to Tufi, a hacker known among many in the Apex Legend community. The face of Tufi is still a mystery, but many gamers know the name. He has also been known to target developer Respawn Entertainment before.

On May 20th Respawn Entertainment tweeted that they were aware of the DDOS attacks and were investigating.

A streamer known as “Rogue” seemed to have some insider information on this, even stating that the notorious hacker was “behind bars, and going through the court process.” for his previous hacking antics. Hear more about what he had to say regarding the hacker below.

At this point, no one is sure when the servers for Titanfall will be fully operable, but one can only hope that Respawn catches whoever is behind this so the players can enjoy their games in peace.
