Steam Machine

The Steam Machine Is Still Set To Launch “Early This Year”

AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su stated in the company’s recent earnings presentation that Valve is “on track” to launch the Steam Machine early this year. While discussing AMD’s gaming revenue, Dr. Su reported a 50 percent year-over-year increase, alongside a double-digit sequential decline. She also addressed future projections for AMD’s semi-custom system-on-a-chip business, indicating a potential decline. “In gaming, revenue increased 50% year-over-year to $843 million. Semi-custom sales increased year-over-year and declined sequentially as expected,” Dr. Su said in an IGN report. “For 2026, we expect semi-custom SoC annual revenue to decline by a significant double-digit percentage as we enter the seventh year of what has been a very strong console cycle. From a product standpoint, Valve is on track to begin shipping its AMD-powered Steam Machine early this year.”
