Obsidian’s brand new title is going to get released this Fall and so many gamers around the world are excited about their next title after Fallout: New Vegas happening exactly in the same genre, especially with Fallout 76 being a shame for Bethesda last year, Obsidian has a great opportunity to bring what so many have failed to deliver since Fallout 4.
The Outer Worlds is a new first person RPG from the creators of Pillars of Eternity series that will bring a totally story-driven experience in a set of some futuristic planets. The development team has put lots of effort on the game’s narrative to deliver a captivating story which would’ve fit into what The Outer Worlds meant to bring for players. Speaking to GameStar, Leonard Boyarsky from Obsidian Entertainment explained why the game won’t feature any multiplayer modes. He said:
Personally, I prefer the depth of depth that you can get in a single-player RPG, and when you play with other people, you sometimes have to water it down a bit to make it work better for the multiplayer experience, and we really focus on that game on the singleplayer.
The loud and clear message of Boyarsky on The Outer Worlds not supporting any multiplayer plans, probably hints us to a story-rich title on the horizon from the studio, in which your choices will affect the story of yours and that of other characters around the game’s world.
The Outer Worlds will be available on October 25 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Xbox and Windows 10 owners will be able to get the game through Xbox Game Pass subscription.
