According to statements made by Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb and Gamespot’s Tamoor Hussain during Giant Bomb’s Game Mess Morning show, the next Mass Effect game may not release until 2029 or later. In the video Grubb stated that the game is “just nowhere near coming out,” and that the recent N7 day trailers were made to reassure fans that an installment for the title was being developed. Hussain also claimed that he “heard some things as well,” and the game “is so far away. It is so far in another galaxy right now.” “I was told that when they revealed Dragon Age: Dreadwolf in 2018,” said Grubb, “this is similar in terms of timeline. That was announced in 2018 and we’re not getting that game until maybe next year. So now do the math for that, and we’re talking 2029 for Mass Effect 5.”
