Switch Version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Lite Delayed

With the recent announcement of the Nintendo Switch receiving the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Lite version, many fans who have yet to experience the game were anxiously awaiting the August 7 release date. However, it seems as though Bandai Namco has prolonged the wait to an unspecified date in order to fix a lingering issue.

It appears as though the dev team needs more time to “improve the operating environment.” There’s little else in the way of details pertaining to the delayed release, but it doesn’t seem like a massive setback in the release schedule. The game’s Lite version was set to hit the Switch tomorrow, August 7, 2019 – but the absence of a release date in the tweet from the game’s Twitter page is a bit curious.

Currently, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Lite is only available on the PS4 and Xbox One with no official announcement for the extensive demo version landing on PC. The Lite version allows players to engage in five different Story Missions, as well as create their own Dragon all character and take on various online modes.

While there’s no current release date revealed after the announced delay, we’ll be sure to keep you posted on when Switch owners will be able to try out the Lite version of Xenoverse 2.
