Subnautica Prawn Update Released on Steam

It was announced by Unknown Worlds Entertainment, independent developer and publisher known for Natural Selection, Natural Selection 2, that Subnautica, an underwater, open-world, adventure game released on Steam, gets its new update today called “Prawn Update”.

Check out the Prawn Update trailer of Subnautica, showcasing the update’s features:

“The highlight of the latest Subnautica update is the Pressure Re-Active Waterproof Nano Suit, or PRAWN Suit. The player-controlled PRAWN Suit is capable of diving to great depths and withstanding severe heat. Each PRAWN comes standard with two Claw Arms, which may be used to smash resource nodes and pick up loot. Players may modify their PRAWN Suit and install Mining Drills, Propulsion Cannons, Torpedo Launchers and Grappling Hooks.

Additionally, players will now be able to explore vast new areas of the stricken Aurora starship, the iconic crashed vessel seen in the distance at the beginning of the game. Other additions include many community-requested features, such as Cyclops camera lights and the option to quit to the Main Menu.

Unknown Worlds Entertainment observes an open-development style, allowing unhindered insight into the development process.

This update will also be released for  Subnautica (Game Preview) on Xbox One in the coming weeks.

Descend into the depths of an alien underwater world filled with resources, creatures, wonder and threats. Craft equipment and submarines to explore lush coral reefs, volcanoes, cave systems, and more – All while trying to survive in the open-world, underwater adventure game Subnautica.
