In a recent Kinda Funny Interview, Starfield game director Todd Howard confirmed that Starfield’s Shattered Space expansion will launch sometime this fall. Additionally, Howard announced that a big update for the title is coming soon. “There’s a lot of stuff…” he said, “we redid the map stuff, so we have some city map stuff.” Bethesda previously announced that the DLC will feature “new story content, new locations, new gear, and much more”. Additionally, Howard stated that the developer is currently working on upcoming projects in the Fallout franchise.
“We look at what we are doing with the [Fallout] franchise and then we say do we still feel good about — I can’t reveal it now — but here is our runway for Fallout as a franchise,” he said. “When is Season 2 happening? What are we doing on mobile? What are we doing in [Fallout 76]? What are we doing with this thing? What are we doing with this other thing? And when are these landing? And again if I could snap my fingers and have them all be out and ready I would. But the main thing is, how do we deliver these at a high quality level? That is always most important.” Starfield launched in early access on September 1 and fully on September 6 for Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.
