Square Enix Shares More Details On New Dragon Quest XI S Stories

The Switch version of the adventurous JRPG from Square Enix, Dragon Quest XI S, is gearing up for its official launch this coming September. While Switch owners will have the opportunity to experience the enduring journey across Erdrea for the first time, returning players will also have new content to navigate.

The upcoming Switch release will come with loads of additional content in addition to the base game. One of the most substantial additions is the inclusion of new stories told from the perspective of the other party members. Players will have a chance to experience major plot scenarios from the original narrative which should shed some light on what took place during specific events in the story.

Caution: Spoilers Ahead for the Story of Dragon Quest XI

Within the new released content heading over to the Switch release, players will have the chance to take control of characters such as the flamboyant circus performer Sylvando, the determined thief Erik, the royal knight Sir Hendrik, the traveling entertainer Rab and the former Heliodor princess Jade. Players will begin the new stories around the mid-way point in the game, when the party breaks up and is scattered across the world.

The game will have players take control of each party member on their own separate journey before reuniting with the game’s Luminary protagonist. Each member has their own unique plot and fights to engage in, some teaming up with unknown alliances and others going at it alone. There’s sure to be plenty of surprises for both newcomers and returning players alike.
