Soulslike Lies of P Will Have Physical Editions

Fireshine Games has announced its partnership with Neowiz to release Lies of P physically on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in North America and Europe, alongside the digital release. A physical edition announcement trailer was also released. Lies of P will launch sometime in August for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam.

Fireshine Games marketing director Sarah Hoeksma commented on the announcement in a press release, saying:

“We are delighted to have partnered with Neowiz to release the physical version of Lies of P in western markets later this year. As one of the most anticipated games of 2023, we can’t wait for players to step into this deeply dark take on a classic tale and experience the adventure awaiting them.”

The game’s details via Neowiz can be seen below:

Inspired by the familiar story of Pinocchio, Lies of P is an action Soulslike set in a dark Belle Epoque world. As the puppet P, players must wind their way through the streets of the ruined city of Krat, crafting weapons from the materials found in the world and interacting with the remaining few who manage to survive in this hellscape. The more lies told, the more human players become, with all the advantages and disadvantages it entails. Experience profound narrative choices and deeply customizable character progression as you guide P on his unrelenting journey to become human.

Highly-anticipated by players, Lies of P was selected as the “Most Wanted Sony PlayStation Game” at gamescom Opening Night Live 2022, and awarded as the “Best Action Adventure Game” and “Best Role Playing Game” at the 2022 gamescom awards.

Key features

A Dark Fairytale Retold – The timeless tale of Pinocchio has been reimagined with dark and striking visuals. Set in the fallen city of Krat, Pinocchio desperately fights to become human against all odds.

Visual Concept – The city of Krat was inspired by the Belle Epoque Era in Europe (late 19th Century to the early 20th Century) and is the epitome of a collapsed city bereft of prosperity.

“Lying” Quests and Multiple Endings – Experience interconnected procedural quests that play out depending on how you lie. These choices will then affect how the story ends.

Weapon-Making System – You can combine weapons in a multitude of ways to create something new altogether. Research to find the best combinations and make something truly special.

Special Skill System – With Pinocchio being a doll, you can change parts of his body to gain new skills and hopefully an edge in battle. But not all of the enhancements are for fighting though, they can also provide several other unique and useful features.
