According to a developer profile on LinkedIn from former studio developer Ben Wanat, Sledgehammer Games may be working on a new unannounced action RPG featuring detailed world lore with multiple cultures and languages. If true, this would mark the first title the studio has developed that is not a shooter or a Call of Duty game. The LinkedIn profile states that Wanat worked as a senior creative director on the project at the studio from 2019 to August 2025. He now serves as creative director and co-founder of Lurker Entertainment, making it unclear whether the title remains in development at Sledgehammer Games. Sledgehammer Games has notably developed and assisted in the development of several Call of Duty titles, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (2023) and Call of Duty: Vanguard.
