Slay the Spire II Reportedly Sold 5.3 Million Units in March

According to Alinea Analytics’ Rhy Elliott, Slay the Spire II is estimated to have sold 5.3 million units, generating $108 million in revenue, and became the top-selling game on Steam in March. “Mega Crit’s Slay the Spire 2 moved a nuts (but deserved) 5.3M copies in March for its early-access debut. To date, it has generated $108 million on Steam alone. All this is to say that Slay the Spire 2 easily takes Steam’s #1 copies sold spot for March,” wrote Elliott.

According to Mega Crit Games community manager Demi in a recent Steam post, Slay the Spire II has surpassed three million copies sold worldwide. It achieved this in its first week of release. Additionally, the post states that more than 25,000,000 runs have been attempted. The post also goes on to reveal the next features planned for the game. Slay the Spire II launched in early access on March 5 for PC via Steam.

According to SteamDB, the game has already become the most-played roguelike on the platform. The game’s peak concurrent player count has surpassed 430,000 players, with 424,811 players currently in-game at the time of writing. The title, despite being in Early Access, notably beats the previous roguelike record holder, Elden Ring Nightreign, which peaked at 313,593 concurrent players. It also surpasses Megabonk at 117,336, Don’t Starve Together at 115,925, and Hades 2 at 112,947.
