Scorpion from this year's Mortal Kombat 11 release

Rumor: Future Mortal Kombat 11 DLC Characters Potentially Confirmed

Earlier in the week, NetherRealm Studios officially unveiled the remaining two characters for the first Kombat Pack in Mortal Kombat 11. The final two characters rounded out the entire roster with two more guest characters in Terminator T-800 and Joker from DC comics joining Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, Sindel and Spawn as all six new fighters hitting the game as paid DLC.

While many fans are excited to know the full first season Kombat Pack along with the release dates for each character which spans until March 2020, some earlier rumors regarding Mortal Kombat 11 may signal towards other characters in the future. The rumor was a data mined leak that pointed towards future DLC characters ready to hit Mortal Kombat 11. This rumor, if remembering correctly, came before the official launch of Mortal Kombat 11, and so far has nailed all six of the DLC characters confirmed for the game.

The characters remaining on the data-mined list concludes with Sheeva, Fujin and Ash Willaims from the Evil Dead series. We’ve already seen numerous rumors and even what seemed to be a tease pointing towards Ash Williams in a future Kombat Pack, but so far we haven’t seen much that would point towards Sheeva or Fujin other than the leak earlier this year.

Of course, Netherrealm still hasn’t confirmed the existence of a second Kombat Pack, though Mortal Kombat X receive multiple packs – so it wouldn’t be out of the norm to see a second pack. Also, it should be noted that all of this is coming from a rumor dated earlier this year, so until any of this if confirmed – take this lightly.

Even though a second Kombat Pack has yet to be confirmed – and likely won’t for awhile considering the current Kombat Pack has only just released its second of six characters, with the final character, Spawn, not releasing until March next year – there’s still plenty of highly-demanded characters fans want to see make the cut. And these three rumored characters certainly fit the bill for some of those demands.

All in all, we’ll just have to wait for now until NetherRealm makes an official confirmation. Mortal Kombat 11 is currently available on the PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
