Romancing SaGa 2 coming out in English for iOS & Android

The Hit RPG from the 90s is back again and this time is releasing for mobile platforms, today, Square-Enix just confirmed that an English version of Romancing SaGa 2 will be releasing to IOS and Android platforms later this year. Romancing Saga 2 is the fifth title in the SaGa series and the remastered version for iOS, Android and the PlayStation Vita was released on March 24, 2016 in Japan with updated graphics and optimized controls; even though square mentioned an English release for mobile platforms, they haven’t announced if the game would be coming out for Vita overseas as well.

For those who don’t know, Romancing SaGa 2 was first released in japan in 1993 for the Super Famicom and was later then ported to mobile phones over there and now after many years, it is officially coming out in English worldwide!

Below are the tweets of the developers confirming the release of the game worldwide.

The SaGa series in general has been based on a niche RPG design that emphasizes nonlinear gameplay and open world exploration, with its open-ended branching plot and free style of character development separating it from the more linear Final Fantasy series. Much of the series has relied on loosely connected stories and side quests rather than an epic narrative and the game also allowed players to choose from eight different characters, each with their own stories that start in different places and offer different outcomes.
