According to prominent leaker AestheticGamer on Twitter, the rumored Resident Evil – Code: Veronica remake is set to be announced this year. However, despite Eva La Dare, Shiva’s voice actress from Resident Evil 5, teasing an announcement for the franchise’s 30th anniversary, AestheticGamer clarified that a Resident Evil 5 remake will not be announced this year. They also mentioned that what La Dare is teasing for March is “something else.” Back in August 2025, the leaker claimed that Albert Wesker would play a “much bigger” role in the Code: Veronica remake, with his combat unit, the H.C.F., being a “main plot point.” It’s important to note that these are all unconfirmed claims and have yet to be verified by Capcom. Meanwhile, Resident Evil Requiem is scheduled to launch on February 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
No, there is NOT a Resident Evil 5 Remake that's going to be announced this year. Instead, later this year a RE Remake that starts with "(C)" & ends "(ode Veronica)" is going to be announced, I promise you.
Her thing is something else not a remake of RE5. https://t.co/RCO05v6QS3
