Pokémon Sword & Shield

Pokémon Sword & Shield – One Last Trailer Pre-Launch

Pokémon Sword & Shield drop in a mere four days, and The Pokémon Company has released one final trailer in anticipation of their launch.

While the trailer has been released only in Japanese, it offers players a glimpse of some of the new pokémon they can hunt and capture, including Yamper and Obstagoon. The trailer also shows two pokémon who haven’t made an appearance anywhere before, one of which bears a strange look, as it seems to be made of hieroglyphed or rune-inscribed stone.

The trailer also showcases some of the Gym Leaders trainers will battle in the game, as well as offering a look at some of the Pokémon capable of Gigantamaxing—including the most epic Charizard players are likely to ever see. As Gaming Instincts reported last week, to celebrate the launch of Pokémon Sword & Shield, players will be more likely to encounter Gigantamax Butterfree in Max Raid Battles from Friday, November 15 2019, until early January 2020.

The latest entries in the Pokémon franchise, Sword and Shield. Back in October, Gaming Instincts discussed the overleveled, dangerous wild pokémon players can encounter in the Wild Area of the game’s Galar region. Some of these powerful pokémon are in their second or third stage of evolution, may inflict status effects, and in some cases may outlevel the player by a factor of five.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are the first main series games in the eighth generation of the franchise, developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. The duo of pocket-monster catching games are set for release on November 15, 2019.
