Pokémon Sword And Shield – Trailer Shows New Pokémon

A new trailer for Pokémon Sword and Shield has appeared on YouTube, highlighting the new pokémon of the Galar Region.

In the upcoming weeks, hype surrounding Pokémon Sword and Shield is sure to build as the world draws nearer and nearer the November 15 release date. Pokémon fans around the world grow tense with anticipation, and as Sword and Shield is the first main series game in the eighth generation of the franchise, they also wonder what new pokémon will they discover and capture.

The new trailer, viewable below for those interested, showcases the new pokémon fans will find within the Galar region. As reported by Gaming Instincts on October 21, the pokémon of the Galar region’s Wild Area have an interesting twist to them: many of these pokémon outlevel the player by a vast amount at the beginning of the game. Some Wild Area pokémon may even be in their third stage of evolution, and both raid pokémon as well as “very strong looking” pokémon with higher than usual stats and special abilities wander the grassy zone.

Check out the trailer below to get a first look at the new pokémon of the Galar region.

The first main series games in the eighth generation of the franchise, Sword and Shield are also the second in the series to be released on a home console. Several new features are introduced in the games, including cooperative raid encounters similar to those in Pokémon Go, open world areas, and Dynamax and Gigantamax pokémon. In addition, a new mechanic called “Poké Jobs” allows gamers to complete requests such as assisting NPCs in tasks in order to gain experience or rare items.
