Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Team Ninja have announced that sales for the Nioh series have surpassed eight million units. The games surpassed seven million units back in October 2022. Nioh first launched on February 7, 2017. Nioh 2 first launched on March 12, 2020. The Nioh Collection also launched on February 5, 2021 for PlayStation 5.
