New South Park Title Reveals Its Developer

Upcoming South Park game reveals developer to be working on the project. The developer that will be working on the title is Question. For those unfamiliar with the studio it is a team made up of ex-AAA developers who previously worked on titles such as Theif: Deadly shadows, BioShock 1, Bioshock 2 as well as South Park Fractured But Whole and South Park: The Stick Of Truth. The new South Park title will be the biggest project yet for the studio and with the team possessing members with experience on previous South Park titles, it is clear as to why they were chosen to fulfill the role.

The job listing for the project as well as its requirements to apply gives a few hints for what to expect from the upcoming project. It requires applicants to have shipped at least one multiplayer game as a senior level designer or possess equal as well as relevant experience.  This potentially could mean a multiplayer component for the upcoming South Park project. Also stated on the listing is that the studio runs on Unreal 4, so the South Park game will be most likely running on the Unreal engine as well. For those interested in the listing, we have quoted a few more of their requirements for the role below.

Requirements

  • Must live within U.S. time zones from Pacific to Eastern time – We want office hours to overlap

  • Communication – Applicants must be able to speak eloquently about game design and get their ideas across both conversationally and visually. We don’t care if PowerPoint, Excel, or watercolors are your muse, so long as you can bend your chosen medium to the task of getting concepts in other people’s brains.

  • Multiplayer Experience – Shipped at least one multiplayer game as a senior level designer or have equivalent relevant experience.

  • Engine Experience – The studio runs on Unreal 4, so obviously experience with it is a plus, but not a requirement. Equivalent experience with other popular engines (e.g. Unity) and a demonstrated penchant for learning and flexibility work just as well. We would rather work with a fast learner than someone who has memorized the correct tool of the moment.
