The upcoming action-RPG title featured in the iconic Dragon Ball universe, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, has been gaining momentum since its reveal earlier this year. Recently, during Gamescom Bandai Namco revealed some exciting and lengthy gameplay footage of the game showing off plenty of combat in both the Saiyan Saga as Goku and the Cell Saga as Gohan.
Check out both new pieces of gameplay footage from IGN below:
The first video shows off the rousing battle between Goku and fellow Saiyan warrior Raditz. We also see some traversing alongside Piccolo as the player soars on the Nimbus cloud, engaging in random enemy encounters, and so on.
The second video features the battle against Cell during the Cell Saga as the player takes control Gohan as he finishes off the menacing android. Both videos shows some extensive looks at the combat featured in Kakarot, and so far it looks crisp and extremely precise in terms of the DBZ ‘feel’.
Bandai Namco also revealed a brand new trailer for the game featuring the Cell Saga during Gamescom which may be viewed below:
The coveted Dragon Ball Z universe is making a huge splash once again in the video game series. Along with plenty of other manga inspired titles, such as Kill La Kill: The Game, the recently announce One Punch Man title and the manga cross over fighting title Jump force, Dragon Ball Z especially hits home. And with Arc System Works’ Dragon Ball FighterZ title hitting as one of the greatest fighting titles, let alone DBZ adaptions, today, the upcoming RPG title following the iconic Kakarot looks nothing short of brilliant, so far.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot doesn’t currently have a release date nailed down but is expected to release in early 2020 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
