New Alien Game is Currently in Development

Well it seems like FoxNext Games announced that a new shooter game taking place in the Alien universe is being worked on for both PC and consoles. This is impressive for FoxNext Games as they were formed last year. In fact they’ve been working on virtual reality games since then.

Previously it was known that the developers were working on a multiplayer Alien virtual reality game. Well FoxNext recently acquired Cold Iron Studios from Perfect World Entertainment since they also have experience in making multiplayer games.

President of FoxNext Games, Aaron Loeb explains, “I am a personal fan of Cold Iron’s previous work, and all of us at FoxNext Games are thrilled to be working with them as they create an action-packed persistent world, steeped in the mysteries of this beloved universe.”

Cold Iron Studios CEO Craig Zinkievich also supports these claims by saying, “Our background in building online worlds and taking established franchises to the next level in interactive entertainment is a precise fit with [FoxNext’s] product road map ahead.

It also seems that the games in the series have moved from Sega’s grasp who had an exclusive license to publish and has always been developing these games since 2006. They released Alien vs. Predator in 2010, Aliens: Colonial Marines in 2013, and finally Alien Isolation in 2014. The game seems a bit to fresh to be released this year, let alone 2020, so it may be along time until we see any sort of gameplay for the new Alien game.

From what the Alien game may be about, it could lead to some sort of Alien vs. Predator game, or simply a game where you play as marines fighting more Aliens. This is all up in the air for now but it seems like we will get a new Alien game sometime in the future.
