More Animal Crossing Content Is Coming

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has not gotten a new content drop in a while. While that might make it seem that Nintendo has forgotten about the game, they assure fans that they have not. More Animal Crossing content is coming and it does not seem we will have to wait long for the first drop.

In two days’ fireworks will be added to the game that has been in need of more content for some time. While this is the extend of the content we are seeing now, Nintendo made a point to make sure we knew this was not the only content coming this year. Unfortunately what that content remains to be seen.

In a series of Tweets Nintendo stated:

A free update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons arrives on July 29. Please ensure you have updated to the latest version to enjoy the upcoming weekly Fireworks shows and new seasonal items. In addition to these updates, more free content for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is currently in development for later this year. More information will be shared in the future, so please stay tuned. Thank you for your support and patience.

Animal Crossing: New Horizon was released in March 2020. This was right as most people were being confined to their homes due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Due to this, it offered many people, including myself, a happy little island life to escape to during such trying times. If you had a friend that had the game you could also invite them to your island, it was almost like actually hanging out!

During the first year, and a lot of this during the lockdown, the game had a flurry of updates that kept the game entertaining. Then one day these updates just sorta, stopped, leaving fans to wonder if anything else was coming or if they had simply moved on. Due to the popularity of the game, there is definitely an audience for continued support.
