Microsoft to Include More First Party Games at E3

Well Microsoft just finished their E3 rehearsal in Redmond, and they’ve revealed that there are several Xbox Game Studios games in the show this year.

That’s right, Xbox currently has a-lot of first-party games to show off during E3 2019. This is all according to Phil Spencer on twitter who says that 14 Xbox Game Studio games will be shown off in this press conference this year which is, “more first party games than we’ve ever had in the show.

Now that’s a lot of first-party games to show off this year, and the development studios that Microsoft owns. These include 343 Studios, Obsidian, Ninja Theory, and Playground games. For the most part we can expect Halo Infinite to be shown this year along with possibly a new Forza and Gears of War 5.

We do know that Gears of War 5 is definitely going to be announced at E3 along with some Playground Games projects, such as a new rumored Fable 3 and obviously Forza. Also because of how Microsoft wants Xbox to work closely with the PC platforms and with the arrival of the Xbox Games Pass on the PC this means that these games may release on the Microsoft Store.

It’s been happening for a while that Xbox Games were being ported to the PC, much like Sea of Thieves, Gears of War, and Sunset Overdrive. While nothing is confirmed about all of the games being on the PC as well, it’s something to think about. Microsoft does have a lot of crossplay between their PC users and Xbox users, so this would make sense.

Either way it looks like that that Microsoft will be getting a new first-party lineup this year with some new and exciting titles. Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference will begin at 4:00 pm EST on Sunday, June 9.
