Over 1.3 million stolen internal Insomniac files have been leaked to the internet following a recent hack by the ransomware group Rhysida. The documents were leaked after Insomniac Games refused to pay for the return of these files which amount to 1.67 terabytes of data. These files include confidential information about several of the studio’s upcoming projects, including several images, alpha footage, and concept art, as well as financial information, projections, release dates, and more. A significant part of the leak reveals a Venom game is in development along with several Spiderman titles in the pipeline.
The Venom game is called Venom: Lethal Protector and will seemingly lead into Spider-Man 3 following the events of Spider-Man 2. The title is targeting a late 2025 release window and similar to Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, will be a short standalone title that will last about 8-10 hours and will be priced at $50.
The leak also reveals that the title will allow players to switch between Venom and other “Spider-Heroes.” The title will also feature about 12 main quests, some side missions, three bosses, including Carnage as the main antagonist. Additionally, the leak reveals that Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is targeting a release window of late 2028. The leak also reveals that the title will launch in two parts, with part one targeting holiday 2027, and part two for holiday 2028. The title will also seemingly launch with a multiplayer mode attached to part one, and a combined single player and multiplayer game will launch in 2029. A Spider-Man 2 Online for 2024 was also listed. However, it’s unsure whether these plans are out of date or not.
Meanwhile, a new image showing a concept image for an unannounced Bluepoint game was also leaked. The image shows a wide shot of two characters facing a vibrant and lush environment and seemingly means that the title is not a known remake of any kind.
