According to backend data tracked by SteamDB, Sony has officially pulled Helldivers II from several regions following its announcement that players will need to link their PSN on steam in order to play. Due to PSN not being officially available in several countries, it seems Sony or Valve have decided to pull the game from stores from countries where the service is unavailable. It’s worth mentioning that this new change caused a lot of backlash in the community as the game now sits with an ‘Overwhelmingly Negative’ rating for recent reviews which it got in less than 48 hours of the announcement. Additionally, players have also reported that they are issuing for and receiving refunds despite having owned and having played the game for over two hours. While refunds for a game typically require no more than two hours played, it seems Valve has waived this requirement due to recent events. Helldivers II launched on February 8 for PC and PlayStation 5. In Helldivers II, players “join forces with up to four friends and wreak havoc on an alien scourge threatening the safety of your home planet, Super Earth.”
