According to Windows Central’s Jez Corden on a recent episode of the Xbox Two Podcast with Rand al Thor 19, Ninja Theory’s heavily rumored project Project: Mara is not currently in development. “It’s just a concept; it’s not a game they are currently working on. It might be something they work on eventually, but Project: Mara is not a game that is currently being worked on at Ninja Theory,” Corden said. He also claimed that the studio is working on Hellblade 3, stating it will be “a bit more interactive than Hellblade 1 and 2,” to “broaden its appeal”. These claims should be taken with caution, as Ninja Theory has not officially confirmed them. The studio has also yet to provide updated details on Project: Mara. However, in 2021, Ninja Theory described the project as an “experimental” horror title featuring Melina Juergens, who plays Senua in the Hellblade series, set in a single apartment that “explores new ways of storytelling.” The latest game in the Hellblade series, Hellblade: Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
