Fortnite’s Hamster Ball Vehicle is Coming Soon

Player’s logging into Fortnite from today will be greeted with a message announcing the imminent arrival of the Hamster Ball.

We don’t know much about the Hamster Ball yet, but we do know that it’s going to fit a single-player as a passenger. It also looks to be equipped with some sort of Grapple attachment, meaning we could all soon be flying through the air in one of these bad boys.

You can see the preview of the Hamster Ball yourself when logging in, in the News tab. Or just look at our handy screenshot below.

Fortnite’s new Hamster ball could be coming this week.

Player’s are wondering if the ball is going to provide some sort of protective shield for passengers – it certainly looks that way. Epic has also been evolving its vehicle-damage system over the last Season with Planes, so we can be sure to expect a similar health-bar with this new vehicle, too.

There have also been some parking spaces for the balls spotted as circle-shaped bases near the Expedition Outposts in game. These points are rumoured to recharge the Hamster Ball’s energy, and perhaps its Shield and Grapple Ammunition.

They look identical to those data-mined by user Lucas7yoshi last week, suggesting that they are definitely related.

As for a release, we can only guess – but when items appear in the in-game ‘News’ menu, it normally means that we can expect to see them active in Fortnite that week. If that’s the case for the Hamster Ball, we could be seeing it as early as tomorrow!

Keep your eyes peeled, and let us know in the comments section what you think of Fortnite’s latest vehicle.
