Final Fantasy 16 Development Reportedly About “95 percent” Complete

According to a recent Famitsu article, director Hiroshi Takai claimed that Final Fantasy 16 is about “95 percent” complete. So far, development progress on the game includes ironing out bugs and fixing render and performance issues. Yoshida also claims that the game’s release date will be announced soon alongside a new trailer that will be released by the end of 2022. Yoshida also told Dengeki that a demo for Final Fantasy 16 is also planned.

“We’re planning to put out even more information before the end of the year, so I think we’ll be able to tell you [a release date] at that time. It won’t be any later than summer, so don’t worry. (Laughs.)

So when we say development is 95 percent complete, some might say, ‘well then release it immediately,’ but that’s the reality of the situation…”
