September’s Nintendo Direct recently ended and featured a slew of game announcements, trailers, and more. In case you didn’t catch everything, we’ve broken down every major and minor announcement, trailer, and gameplay reveal that the event had to offer.
Another Code: Recollection Remasters
Nintendo revealed that the Nintendo DS game Trace Memory and its Nintendo Wii sequel Another Code: R – A Journey into Lost Memories will launch as a remaster bundle for the Nintendo Switch on January 19, 2024.
Unicorn Overlord Announced
During the Direct, Atlus and Vanillaware released a new trailer announcing the upcoming turn-based tactical RPG Unicorn Overlord. It will launch on March 8, 2024 for Nintendo Switch.
Contra: Operation Galuga Announced
Konami and developer WayForward announced that the original run and gun action game Contra will launch for the Nintendo Switch as Contra: Operation Galuga. It will be a “reimagining of the classic run-’n’-gun action game,” and will launch in early 2024.
SaGa Emerald Beyond Announced
It was announced that the next RPG SaGa title, SaGa Emerald Beyond will launch sometime in 2024 for the Nintendo Switch.
Horizon Chase 2
A trailer for the arcade racing game Horizon Chase 2 was released. It is available now for Nintendo Switch.
Spy x Anya: Operation Memories Announced
During the announcement a new life simulation adaptation for the Spy x Family anime and manga titled Spy x Anya: Operation Memories was announced. Players will control Anya as she goes to classes, hangs out with friends, family, plays minigames, and more. It will launch for Nintendo Switch sometime in 2024.
Trombone Champ Now Available for Switch
It was announced during the event that the Trombone simulator game is now available for Nintendo Switch.
Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered Announced
A remaster of the classic Tomb Raider titles will get a remastered collection titled Tomb Raider 1-3 RemasteredStarring Lara Croft. The bundle will feature both newly updated visuals and their classic looks that can be toggled to fit the player’s wants. It will launch on February 14, 2024.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown New Trailer
Ubisoft’s previously announced Prince of Persia game Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will launch on January 18, 2024. A new trailer showing more of the game was also released.
Splatoon 3 Side Order Expansion Detailed
During the event Nintendo announced that the SIde Order DLC for Splatoon 3 will launch in Spring 2024. The DLC will feature a brand new story and new features.
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door Remaster
During the livestream, Nintendo announced that a remaster of the 2004 Gamecube RPG Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door will launch for Nintendo Switch sometime in 2024. It will have enhanced HD visuals
New Mario vs. Donkey Kong
Nintendo Announced that a new game in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong puzzle platforming series is in development and will launch on February 16, 2024. A trailer was also released.
New Super Mario RPG Trailer
During the Direct, Nintendo released a new trailer for the previously announced Super Mario RPG remake. The trailer shows several features and updated gameplay elements. It will launch on November 17.
Princess Peach: Showtime Trailer
The previously announced adventure game got a new trailer showing several forms the princess can take in the game including Detective Peach, Kung FU Peach anf more. It will launch on March 22, 2024 for Nintendo Switch.
Detective Pikachu Returns Trailer
Nintendo also released a new story trailer for Detective Pikachu that also shows several gameplay features like using Pokemon abilities during investigations. The game will launch on October 6 for Nintendo Switch.
Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon Remastered Announced
Nintendo revealed that a remaster to Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, titled Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD will launch in Summer 2024. It will feature co-op play for up to four players.
F-Zero 99 Switch Port Announced
The Super NES racing game F-Zero 99 is now available for Nintendo Switch via a Nintendo Switch Online Subscription.
WarioWare: Move It! Trailer
Nintendo revealed a new WarioWare: Move It! trailer showing several of the over 200 minigames that will be featured in the game. It will launch on November 3 for Nintendo Switch.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Six release window
Nintendo also announced that the sixth and final DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will launch sometime this holiday and will add new racers such as Diddy Kong, Paulina, Funky Kong, and more.
Eastward: Octopia DLC Announced
Publisher Chucklefish and developer also announced Eastward: Octopia, a DLC expansion for Eastward that follows Sam and John as farmers in a remote village. It will launch this holiday for the Nintendo Switch.
Among Us The Fungle map
Innersloth also announced it will release the Among Us map The Fungle sometime this October for all platforms.
Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story Announced
Publisher Riot Forge and developer Lazy Bear Games announced the upcoming crafting RPG Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story. It will launch in 2024 for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.
DAVE THE DIVER Switch Version
Developer MINTROCKET announced that the Nintendo Switch version of DAVE THE DIVER will launch via Nintendo on October 26. A demo is available now.
Eiyuuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes
Publisher 505 Games and developer Rabbit & Bear Studios announced that Eiyuuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will launch on April 23, 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.
