Electronic Arts Will Be Acquired for $55 billion

Electronic Arts has announced that it has entered a deal to be acquired by an investor consortium composed of PIF,  Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners. The PIF is notably the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia. The deal is an all-cash transaction that values the company at approximately $55 billion. The consortium will acquire 100 percent of Electronic Arts. The deal is slated to be wrapped up by Q1 FY2027.
