Publisher United Label and developer Fallen Flag Studio recently announced the release of a new, free major expansion for Eldest Souls, titled Depths of the Forgotten, which will reportedly add 30 percent more content to the game. The update will add a new NPC to the game named Orenai the Watcher, along with four unique weapons, a detailed new weapon upgrade system, and new hidden lore to flesh out the game’s world.
Fallen Flag Studio co-founders and directors Francesco Barsotti and Jonathan Costantini commented on the new update in a press release saying:
“We at Fallen Flag Studio have been so overwhelmed by the hugely positive reception to our first game, Eldest Souls, that we felt compelled to release a free, major expansion as a thank you to our fan base. We hope both new and existing fans alike relish the new challenge!”
A description of the game along with full details on the new expansion can be seen below:
In Eldest Souls, the Old Gods have broken free from their long imprisonment, and are determined to wreak a terrible vengeance on all those who defied them. Unleashing a great Desolation upon the world, farmlands turn to deserts, rivers to dust. One final hope for humanity remains; players must take on the role of a lone warrior. A lone warrior with a single mission…
The expansion adds approximately 30 percent more content, in the form of three new boss fights, each with its own battlefield and devastatingly difficult attack patterns. As players progress through the Forgotten Depths, far removed from the moon‘s pale radiance, they are rewarded with even more customization options building on the game’s already extensive range of unique abilities and movesets.
