Security and anti piracy software company Denuvo has announced that its services and tools are now available to developers for the Nintendo Switch. This means developers producing games for Switch can now use the company’s tools to protect their games against piracy and most notably, emulation. Denuvo announced the first tool it is offering developers is the emulation protection tool, which according to the company, blocks the ability for players to emulate games on PC emulators. The company also claims that ” the technology integrates seamlessly into the build toolchain with no impact on the gaming experience.”

The Nintendo Developer Portal offers documentation, tools and other useful materials for the development of software for Nintendo consoles.
