Capcom Reveals Update Roadmap for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

Capcom has recently released the massive expansion to their 2018 monster slaying hit, Monster Hunter World, with the release of Iceborne. The new monster hunting experience provides monster hunters with tons of new experiences, monsters to slay and a brand new location to explore, but there’s still plenty of additional content to hit the game in the coming months.

Recently, while fans have learned that both Rajang will be landing on the game soon, as well as a second Horizon Zero Dawn crossover event, Capcom has unveiled the content update roadmap for the game which includes not one, but two updates and the new Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds event that’s set to release in the coming months.

It was previously reported that the first major content update which will introduce Rajang to the world as well as My-House additional items will be the first of the updates to hit the game. That first update is slated to release on October 10, 2019.

The second big update will be the Horizon Zero dawn: The Frozen Wilds crossover event. The new event will allow players to once again play as Aloy but this time wearing her icy armor and equip weapons exclusive to the DLC from the Frozen Wilds which seems to blend perfectly with the Iceborne expansion. This new crossover event will launch sometime in November as a PS4 exclusive event.

Next will release the second major content update for the game which will introduce yet another unannounced monster to the game, the Astera Festival event and Quests #2 and #3 for the Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds collaboration event. The second big update will release sometime in December.

And finally, Capcom has something planned for January 2020 which will be the game’s second year anniversary. That same month, PC players will be able to get in on the Iceborne action as the new expansion is set to release on PC versions of the game.

Currently, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is only available on the PS4 and Xbox One.
