Bandai Namco Denies That AI Was Used For Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections

After a string of mixed reviews, complaints, and rumors about Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, Bandai Namco’s latest Naruto arena fighting game, the publisher has released a statement to IGN via a spokesperson regarding the rumors. The spokesperson claimed that the publisher is working to fix the voices in the game and denied that AI was used in the production process for the voiceover lines. It claims that the poor quality was a result of “inconsistencies during the editing and mastering process.” Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS launched on November 17 and is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

A snippet of the statement reads:

“Regarding the reports about several voice over lines in Naruto X Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, Bandai Namco Entertainment can confirm that the lines in question were not AI generated, but the result of inconsistencies during the editing and mastering process. We regret that this raised a concern with Naruto fans and the voice acting community. We are currently working to fix the voice lines in question, which will be patched in the near future.”
