Publisher Ubisoft and developer Massive Entertainment have announced the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora DLC From the Ashes. It will launch on December 19 to coincide with the release date of the Avatar: Fire and Ash film. The expansion “lets players play as the Na’vi warrior So’lek and experience a new story of vengeance and survival.” An announcement trailer was also released.

A new expansion for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, titled “From the Ashes,” will be released on December 19, the same day as the theatrical release for Avatar: Fire and Ash. The expansion lets players play as the Na’vi warrior So’lek and experience a new story of vengeance and survival set in a section of the Western Frontier that encompasses a ravaged Kinglor Forest and a brand-new area.
Developed by Massive Entertainment—a Ubisoft Studio—in collaboration with Lightstorm Entertainment and Disney, “From the Ashes” takes place shortly after the events of the main game and takes you on the journey of So’lek, a battle-hardened Na’vi warrior from the Trr’ong clan. Ambushed and left for dead by the RDA and their new allies, the ruthless Ash clan, So’lek awakens to a world in flames and his Sarentu family scattered. Driven by grief and vengeance, he sets out to reunite with and protect his loved ones.
“From the Ashes” expansion will be available as a standalone purchase for players who already own the base game or will be available for purchase as part of the new “From the Ashes” Edition, which will contain the base game and the “From the Ashes” expansion, along with “Floating Mountains Bonus Content ” (three distinct banshee color patterns inspired by the Valley of Mo’ara in Pandora—The World of Avatar).
