Activision announced via a recent blogpost that the original Call of Duty: Warzone will shut down on September 21 for the developers to “focus on future Call of Duty content including the current Warzone free-to-play experience.” The original Call of Duty Warzone first launched with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in 2020 but was renamed to Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera with the release of Warzone 2.0. The Warzone Caldera shutdown will not impact current Warzone gameplay, inventory, or player progression in Al Mazrah or the other available maps. Lastly, Warzone Caldera players can access their purchased content in Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War, and Vanguard multiplayer modes.
