A New Unannounced Atlus Game is Currently in Development

According to a recent end-of-year interview with 4Gamer.net Soul Hackers 2 director Eiji Ishida stated that he is “currently involved in an unannounced title” but “its announcement has yet to be decided.” This means that Ishida is likely currently involved with development of an upcoming Atlus game that isn’t the previously announced new titles Metaphor ReFantazio and Unicorn Overlord. Its also worth noting that producer Shinjiro Takada, who’s worked on the Shin Megami Tensei series stated in the same interview that “in 2024, we will release Unicorn Overlord from Vanillaware, as well as one other title.” The titles may or may not be related.

The full translated quote via Gematsu reads:

“I’m currently involved in an unannounced title. While the timing of its announcement has yet to be decided, I’m working hard alongside the director toward its completion. Please give us your support when that time comes.”
