Gears of War 5 Announced for September 10
Microsoft Announced during their E3 2019 conference that Gears of War 5 will be slated for a September 10 release. Additionally if you want to play 4 days early, you can with the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
In July, there will be a versus only tech test where players will play the new game type, Arcade. In August at Gamescom, players will be able to play the new Horde Mode to test out the player’s new abilities against hordes of locust. In September, the game will release.
In the new Escape Mode, you play as one of three hive busters where you go into a locust hive, plant the bomb and escape. It’s apparently everything we love about Gears turned up to 11. They then show off a trailer featuring a group of characters, with some new guns to show off. We can see that the characters test out their individual abilities against the locust threat, along with a mysterious green gas as they try to fight through a big locust horde.
Additionally it would seem that a trailer for the Terminator Dark Fate character pack which is available at launch or with the Xbox Game Pass.
