IO Interactive has announced updated PC requirements for 007 First Light on Twitter after previously recommending specs that did not make sense. The studio attributed the inconsistencies to “an internal miscommunication leading to an older version of the specs to be shared.” The updated recommended requirements reduce the previously recommended 32GB of RAM for 1080p and 60 FPS to 16GB, while VRAM requirements have been lowered from 12GB to 8GB. For minimum requirements, players will need 6GB of VRAM to run the game at 1080p and 30 FPS. The CPU requirement has also been reduced to an i5-9500 instead of an i5-9500K. However, the amount of RAM needed is still the same. 007 First Light is set to launch on May 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

We are providing today an update to the PC system requirements for 007 First Light after the community flagged some inconsistencies in an earlier version of the listing.
The earlier mistake was due to an internal miscommunication leading to an older version of the specs to be shared. After a thorough re-examination and additional testing, the recommended RAM has been corrected from 32GB to 16GB, VRAM values have been updated, and the minimum CPU line has been fixed. Additional performance targets will be shared closer to launch.
We’re sorry for the confusion this caused and appreciate everyone who brought it to our attention. The updated specs are now live on our store pages, and we’re looking forward to sharing more of 007 First Light with you ahead of launch.
