According to prominent leaker AestheticGamer on Twitter, the alleged and rumored Resident Evil – Code: Veronica remake is currently “ahead of its internal schedule,” ahead of other rumored remakes including Resident Evil 0. This means that the Code: Veronica remake will likely launch before other remakes and may be the next title in the series as it is rumored to launch in 2027/2028. Additionally, the leaker claims that Albert Wesker will seemingly play a “much bigger” part in the remake, and that his combat unit, the H.C.F., will be a “main plot point.” Its worth noting that these are all claims and have yet to be confirmed by Capcom. For now, Resident Evil Requiem will launch on February 27, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
