Developer Supermassive Games took to Twitter to announce that 36 employees have been laid off from the company following a “redundancy consultation.” The layoffs are a result of “changing and ever-evolving environment.” Additionally, the developer announced that the upcoming sci-fi horror game Directive 8020, has been delayed to the first half of 2026, instead of its previous October 2 release date. Directive 8020 is currently in development for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
