The Future Games Show will officially be held on August 20. It will feature several new trailers for upcoming games as well as world premieres, and some “stealth demo drops.” Gamescom Opening Night Live will also take place before the Future Games Show. FGS Live From Gamescom will take place immediately after, and will feature even more trailers, premieres, and demo reveals.

Let’s get this party started: Welcome to gamescom Opening Night Live (gamescom ONL), the big opening show of gamescom!
Once again, you will be able to be there live as host Geoff Keighley leads you through an outstanding show. With thousands of fans on site in Cologne and millions of digital viewers. You will experience:
New game announcements,
trailer and gameplay reveals,
talks with prominent guests,
a first look at gamescom events,
and much more!
When: August 19, 2025, 8:00 p.m.
Where: Koelnmesse, Hall 1, admission via Confex in the left-hand area of the foyer
The day at a glance:
From 4:30 PM: Distribution of admission stamps in the foyer of Confex, access via the main entrance of Confex
5:45–7:30 PM: Admission to the hall
Admission is not possible after 7.30 pm!
8:00 PM: Show begins
10:00 PM: Expected end of show
Procedure:
On the day of the event, you will receive your admission stamp on presentation of your gamescom ONL ticket in the foyer of the Confex. The box office will be open from 4:30 p.m., stamps can be picked up until 7:30 p.m. To ensure that everything runs smoothly, we recommend arriving by 6:00 p.m. Your ticket will be scanned again upon entry to the hall. Seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Cloakroom service:
Please note that suitcases and large bags (e.g. sports bags) must be handed in to the cloakroom service. You may take handbags and backpacks into the event. The cloakroom service is free of charge.
Getting there: We recommend traveling by public transport to the “Köln Messe / Deutz” station. From there, it is about a 2-minute walk to Confex.
Admission is restricted to persons aged 18 and over.
