In a recent interview on the Official PlayStation Podcast to celebrate his departure, former Sony Interactive CEO Jim Ryan stated that the PlayStation 5 “is well on track to be the most successful console “across multiple vectors”. “I’d say right now we’re at the top of our game,” he said. “We’ve been really clear and really consistent about what we stand for, great consoles, great console gaming experience, and great games. I would say that right now we’re at the top of our game. PlayStation 5 is well on track to be our most successful console ever across multiple vectors and I think the games and the gaming experiences you see on PlayStation 5, lead by PlayStation Studios, are the best that we’ve ever seen.”
I am enjoying my PS5 way more than the PS4. I feel like the first 3 years of PS4 were extremely slow and there were not that many great releases to play. Bloodborne was like the only one in 2015. Infamous Second Son was ok and The Order 1886 was utter trash.

In the first 3 years of the PS5 we already had Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, God of War: Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, Demon's Souls Remake, Death Stranding Director's Cut, Returnal and a ton of high quality third party AAA titles like Final Fantasy 16, Final Fantasy 7 Remake (PS5 Version), Resident Evil 2/3/4 Remakes (PS5 Versions), Resident Evil 8, Monster Hunter Rise and so on.

Do you believe the PS5 is deserving of its sales? I sure as hell do! However, I do not think it will reach the sales of the PS2. But will be higher than PS4 I think.

I believe that the Ps5 deserves the sales figures right now. But I don't think it's possible to catch up with 155 million ps2 sales. I'm very curious to see what else awaits us since Xbox is no longer a competitor. Since Sony doesn't really have any competition any more, they could really lay back.

And I don't think it's good for us in the long run, but who knows.
